I am Wanda Fryer. I am very honored to be apart of the "New" GHS, which will now be two campuses, divided by grade levels, but working towards one goal...Excellence!
We as educators, and you as parents, are well aware that learning does not stop after graduation, it's a process that will continue throughout life. My vision is to create a place where learning is honored, valued, and guaranteed as we create an atmosphere to prepare you for life's lessons. Scholars will leave here knowing that an education is the solid foundation for the next level. If that level is college...You are College Ready! If that level is the military...You are Military Ready! If that level is the world of work...You are Work Ready!
I graduated from Gonzales High School many years ago, went to college in San Marcos, Texas. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in December 1988 and began my career as a classroom teacher in January 1989. I taught many subjects to several grade levels before being hired as an Assistant Principal for seven years, and Principal for ten years here in Gonzales ISD. I come from a long line of educators; to them I owe much gratitude for their many sacrifices and for placing value on education!
My Goal is to do just that...have our 9th and 10th Grade Scholars VALUE Education!
IT's LEARNING TIME!!
Wanda Fryer, Principal 9th and 10th
